Plot
v Pi was born
in India. His name got from his father to a famous bathe house he was always
teased by his classmates and schoolmates about his name.by then he kept on
justifying his name in his own way that could stop them from chasing him but it
does not work. As pi continues to his journey he came to discover God
eventually practicing 3 different cultures of different religion. As years goes
by he grew together with their business a hotel with zoo. He met a girl but
sooner he will say goodbye to her. His father decided to find venture to other country
thinking they might have a better future not knowing what will happen along their
journey. they travel and the night comes a typhoon strikes along their way pi
was amazed of it he go out of the cabin and realizing there is a strange thing that
is happening only him had survive to come out of the ship together with their
zoo animals as the journey continues the animals are striving just to survive
from hunger and life but only Richard parker lived. pi focus his life just to
make that tiger live and that help him a lot to keep his faith that he will
conquer the challenge that his God is giving him. The time has come that he get
thinner and hope wake him up an island
that he think he can live but as he woke up in that late evening the truth had
made him realize that his journey does not end their it is just the middle of
it. One day pi just reached the Mexican shore with his weakest body thinking in
two feet sea shore he might drowned but it isn't. he open his eyes and Richard
parker go without looking back to pi a sad moment to his life again after all
what he did for him just to survive was not even appreciated by that tiger. Pi
had survived. He was interrogated why the ship sank he told everything but they
don’t even persuade by pi's story so pi decided to replace the story but
actually instead of animals he just replaced it with the people he remembered
most in that ship with alike attitude to the Animals he was in that boat. And
now he has his family, peaceful life and continuing to go to his journey of life.
Now his story is about to read by the people and will give another inspiration
of life and time is important and how should be take good care.
Theme
v Life is not only happiness but also
with challenges that makes you a stronger person and the faith to God that
motivates you to face all the challenges how hard they are as long as you
believe in Him.
Symbolism
v I choose island to be its symbol because there
is no such thing as permanent in the world everything is going to gone but
there is something that comes after it. Every challenges is accompanied with
solution, we just need to think of it and not letting yourself to be eaten by
your problems. As long as we have faith in God we can overcome all of those
because God has its own purpose for us. The path that we are taking is just the
beginning of all things God is just preparing us for something big in our
future as a successful individual in our own profession. In that island all
that pi needs are there but he realized that his life could be taken away by
that island. The island represents the things that might change us and pi as
the human being, He choose to continue his journey rather than to stay there
because if you stay to a situation you might not know you’ve already change
that cause a person to be greed or traitor to your neighbours.

to the film as a whole?
v The title means that how hard the
problem is we should not give up and keep the faith in God because he has a
purpose why he is doing it.
2. among the characters, to who can you
relate to?
v I can relate to pi because I also encountered
to be leaved by the person I love the most.so much problem came but I keep on praying
to God that He will help me to solve all of it.
3. Which part of the presentation struck
you the most? Why?
v When he has no choice but to jump
in that sinking ship and nothing to do on how to save the lives of his family. Because
I saw my mother striving to lived but she could not anymore fight and died. I
felt useless I cried a lot but it happens that people die it’s just she goes
first. I know we will meet again in the future that’s the only thing that I
used to think for now. I know to myself she wants me to be a brave girl and
continue my life even without her because she knew that I can.
4. What is the movie’s message?
v The message of the movie is we must
give importance to life. We don’t know what happens tomorrow so we lived with
it with great memories and don’t waste your life to nothing. It also make
emphasis that regardless of our religion if have faith in God we can overcome
all the difficulties in life.
5. Did I like this in general? Why?
v Yes, because it gives a lot of
realizations and morals about life.

theme/purpose? Why or why not?
v Yes, because life is the most
precious thing above all it cannot bring back by any form of money.
7. What specifically did I like/dislike?
Why?
v I like pi for surviving the most
difficult challenge of towards his journey through life. It gives me an idea
that how hard the challenges might be we must be strong enough to face them and
running out from them is not the best solution.
8. Are there any aspects of theme which
are left ambiguous at the end? Why?
v There is nothing that I could ask
for because the story itself meets the theme that it should be explained.
9. How does this film relate to the
things that are happening in your life?
v It relate in a way that other
people also facing challenges like mine it’s up to us which we would go. Are we
going to go and resolve them or we just choice to run off and nothing is
resolve and you have run out of time until you realize it.
